I Didn’t Create Holistic Wander From a Trend. I Created It Because My Life Demanded It.
Sandra Tribioli, June 10, 2026
From Corporate Burnout to The Resonance Field.
My humble wellness beginnings came after nearly 15 years in corporate IT.
For a long time, I lived inside systems built around performance, deadlines, problem-solving, and constant output. I knew how to push through. I knew how to deliver. I knew how to keep going. But my body knew the truth before I did. Oh, and it certainly made sure to let me know!
During those corporate years, my health began to suffer. I was disconnected from my body, overwhelmed by stress, struggling to keep up with relationships, and living in a way that looked pretty on the outside but felt deeply unsustainable and broken on the inside.
I had to relearn the basics. How to eat. How to move. How to breathe. How to listen. How to stop treating my body like something I had to control and start understanding it as something I needed to care for.
That chapter was the initial shift.
Restoring my own health became the doorway into a much deeper path. I became certified in nutrition, fitness, and health coaching because I wanted to understand the whole person, not just the body, not just food, not just exercise, but the full human experience.
Stress. Energy. Discipline. Recovery. Breath. Mindset. Environment. Community.
Then came martial arts.
Training Taekwondo with Grand Master San Koo Kang for several years, became one of the most formative chapters of my life. It taught me discipline, resilience, humility, and the connection between body, mind, and spirit. It showed me that strength is not only physical. True strength is emotional, energetic, and deeply internal.
From there, my path expanded into wellness education, living a healthy life, community building, and events through the creation of MindBody Expo in Delray Beach, FL.
Then 2020 hit all of us hard! Like so many people, I was forced to look at what really mattered. The world changed, and so did the way people needed support, including the physicians I was working for during that time.
When I became the owner of The Yoga Expo, I said, “Let’s GROW!”
And I did.
But I also knew the work was never just about events. It was about serving communities in a deeper, more meaningful way.
Over time, I realized that not everyone sees wellness through the same lens. For some, growth becomes a numbers conversation first: more revenue, more visibility, more leverage, more transactions.
I understand that business has to be sustainable. Money matters. Structure matters. Profit matters. But for me, money was never the mission.
It was the byproduct of doing the work with care and integrity. The real mission was always service.
It was creating spaces where people could gather, learn, heal, reconnect, and remember that wellness is not something we are meant to do alone.
It was honoring the teachers, their sacred spaces, the communities, the facilitators, the partners, and the people who showed up looking for something real.
At some point, I had to become honest about where my path was no longer aligned with certain priorities, and ways of building.
I was not interested in scaling something that felt empty at the center.
I wanted to build something rooted in care, not extraction.
Something that measured success not only by ROI, but by resonance. By trust. By the quality of the room. By whether people left feeling more regulated, more connected, and more supported than when they arrived.
That distinction changed everything.
And in many ways, it became the quiet bridge between what I had built before and what I knew I was being called to create next.
Over time, I realized something else. If I was going to help more people in this lifetime, I had to be creative. I could not only serve one person at a time, or groups in a day or a week long retreat. I had to build long-term experiences, containers, programs, and communities that could reach people more deeply and more collectively.
Then came Holistic Wander.
Holistic Wander was not born from a marketing strategy. It was born because my life demanded it.
A few years ago, I found myself quietly burning out. I was building a business, caring for my son after a major accident, and navigating the painful reality of moving my parents with dementia into my home. Suddenly, I was no longer just an entrepreneur. I was caregiving, making impossible choices, and grieving in slow motion (often in the bathroom), trying to hold together the people I loved while keeping my businesses afloat.
Recently, that season deepened with the loss of my father, the light of my life, my mentor, and my business partner since I was a teenager.
Losing him while he was directly under my care changed me forever.
Yet, losing my father reminded me that the life he helped shape in me was not meant to stop with me. He guided me through the critical importance of creating pathways for progress, education, and community. His legacy wasn't just about building profitable ventures; it was about architecting ways for people to feel deeply seen, supported, and capable of becoming more.
Carrying his legacy forward doesn’t mean repeating what we built before. It means creating spaces where people can heal, grow, gather, and remember what is possible with the life values he breathed into every venture. This is the deeper foundation behind my upcoming book, The Resonance Field.
The book explores what happens when we stop treating wellness as something outside of us and begin understanding it as a field we live inside: the field of our nervous system, our relationships, our environments, our choices, our sound, our movement, our breath, our nourishment, our memory, and our belonging.
Because we are always in resonance with something or someone. Stress has a resonance. Burnout has a resonance. Healing has a resonance. Belonging has a resonance.
The question is: what are we allowing to shape us?
Holistic Wander is my living answer to that question. This is why we created our launch residency in Calabasas, CA and beyond. We return wellness to the roots of true well-being, where we strip away the noise to build nervous system safety, replace performance with genuine presence, and turn extractive events into deeply restorative, come as you are, living ecosystems.
Nourish & Flourish is a high-fidelity wellness residency that replaces passive, one-off events with an intentional ecosystem of nervous system safety, somatic movement, and functional nourishment.
We anchor clinical science with creative innovation: our clinical framework is engineered by Stanford Psychiatry YogaX faculty member Dr. Manmeet "Mini" Rattu, Psy.D., M.S., while our acoustic landscape is powered by founding partner Soundara, the industry-defining music licensing platform for meditation and flow.
Built to support long-term personal and professional regulation, the residency activates intimate local containers at Inner Power Yoga, Oxygen Yoga & Fitness, BetterBody Pilates, House of Nuéra, and The Mindry, before concluding with a large-scale institutional finale at Loyola Marymount University's Yoga Studies program.
This is not community for performance. This is not wellness for show. This is a soft place to land, a space for the person who has been holding too much, for too long.
The founder. The caregiver. The leader. The parent. The seeker. The healer. The human being who looks “fine” on the outside but knows they are running on empty. It is for the ones who are ready to feel regulated again. To gather with intention. To remember that belonging is medicine.
And to experience wellness not as an escape from life, or cause it makes you look good, but as a way to return to life with more capacity, clarity, and support. To return to yourself.
Calabasas is calling.
If you feel the resonance, reserve your spot for the Nourish & Flourish Calabasas Residency here. Come regulate. Come gather. Come belong.
